Motion Array social media success

My roles: content strategy, ideation, creative management & direction

Crafting a social media strategy that brings results, on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Motion Array’s use of YouTube Shorts was presented as a case study during Google’s YouTube Champion event.

Latest strategy wins - short form video

In Q2 2024, we adapted to changes in the way short form content was being consumed, and defined a new content strategy.
The approach was simple, clear and direct, and can be summed up in one sentence:
”We’ll respond to trends in the video creation space, and add to them by breaking them down, revealing how the magic is really done.”

This simple strategy allowed us to be a part of the online conversation in our niche, while also establishing the brand as a thought leader.
The result: a +100% increase in growth and engagement on social media.

Note: the videos are embedded from YouTube for ease of viewing, but most views and engagement were on IG Reels and TikTok.

Latest strategy wins - youtube long form

The same principal was applied for our long form videos, but with a twist:
we will analyze the work of notable YouTubers and break down their approach to video making.

The result: 2 of our most popular YouTube videos in the channel’s 8-year history, bringing more than 15,000 new subscribers.

In addition, we established Motion Array as a thought leader by making tutorials showcasing interesting AI use cases.
These were also 2 of our most popular videos in the past 2 years.

youtube shorts success

We were early adopters of YouTube Shorts, uploading our first Short on January 2021, while the feature was still in Beta.
We moved quickly and tried various video styles. After a short trial and error, we hit our stride.

The result: Shorts is responsible for 35% of new subscribers, doubling our growth rate and gaining tens of millions of views.
Our work on YouTube Shorts was presented as a case study during Google’s YouTube Champion event, March 2022.
